Due to heavy fire on Saturday June 7th 2008 some buildings at the Oude Gracht in Utrecht have been complety laid into ashes. Due to the fire Cees Place has suffered severe water danage and is CLOSED until further notice

Saturday june 7th 2008 bluesfestival in Zoetermeer. The Zoetermeer Blues 2008.
About 30 bands will perform all over the day, indoors and outdoors, from 11.00 h until early into the night

Also this year the Blues route was a great succes. Again in the pubs around the canals of Utrecht the Blues Route was organized for the 24th time by Cees van Leeuwen. With bands like Blues BV, Bas de Haan, Trash Hombres, Skinny Boy, Big Bo, Shuffle Kings, Vintage Brothers, Boot Leg Blues Band, Leo & CeesPlace band, Junkyard dogs,Black, Brown and White, Derek & The Dutch Disease, Chiron with Hans van Lier on Drums, Blues Syndicate, JB Bluescrew and Reverands Gang.
